About Daryl pratt

Daryl PrattDaryl Pratt

Hello, I'm Daryl Pratt, - your mentor for transforming job dissatisfaction into genuine passion and success. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, but I'm confident that I can make a significant impact on the way you think about your current situation.

‘Job dissatisfaction’ might be somewhat flowery. The fact is:

 YOU HATE YOUR JOB.

I get it. You don't get to read this if you typed in the search bar,  “I love my job”. I want to help you change “I hate my job” to “I love my job”

I want to share my knowledge and experience and help you change and transition from hating your job to loving what you do.

I want to invite you into my world of loving what you do and being in control of your destiny.

Just knowing there is someone who understands where you’re at, is the first step.

You might find this a bold statement, but it's the truth: I love, love, love helping people find their happy place and have them love what they do.

Because, where you are right now is where I once was.

You hate the job, the people, the boss, the commute, the pay you hate everything about the place. It is eating you up. It affects your personal life and your family. It permeates into the way you think about everything. You become cynical, angry and an overall ugly person.

You are better than that

I have helped numerous people change their lives by guiding and mentoring them to a better place. What appears to be a total loss has turned out to be an enormous success story.

I have faced the same frustrations, anger, and confusion about myself as you are going through now.

When I think back over the decades after my life changed, I can still feel the hatred I harbored.

So, I have stood in the same place as you are now. Experienced the same feelings you are feeling.

I vividly recall the turning point

It was over a cup of coffee with a person who was referred to me as someone who might be able to help me.  I remember I was reluctant to meet him.

I was convinced my situation was my lot in life and it would remain that way. All the angst, despondency, despair and crappy life was my life going forward. There was no way out.

That’s when I met John. He was much older than me and very experienced in life and business.

He asked many questions and I answered as best I could. The narrative was mostly mine. I pretty much rambled and ranted on and on and on about how much I hated the job, my life, and people, and just dumped it on him.

John, the poor soul, just listened.

I guess it was almost 20 minutes or more before I shut up.

After what seemed an indeterminable pause John made a profound observation.

I was the root of my problems

He didn't stop there; he urged me to take control of my life and recommended I go away and give my total focus on one thing. ‘What do I like doing?’ Not only that, he wanted me to write it down in a notebook and meet the following week.

I did meet the next week. I did do as he suggested. We discussed the results of my assignment for many hours.

I was convinced John was my ticket to freedom. I almost begged him to mentor me moving forward. I didn’t have too many choices.

John had started multiple businesses and built them to the point where he sold them for a considerable profit.

That’s what I wanted to do but I didn’t have a clue where to start.

So, I had my mentor.

I thought, wow, this is easy. I will follow John’s guidance and sell the business and make truckloads of money, retire gracefully and grow old on a beach.

I won't sugarcoat it; the journey wasn't easy

I faced internal and external battles, economic downturns, and moments of self-doubt.

However, with faith in myself, my systems and processes and the mentorship of John, I not only survived but thrived.

I've weathered adversities in both business and life and learned valuable lessons from each failure.

When did it start hating my job?

I had some reasonably good jobs. A tradesman then a long-haul flight attendant. Looking from afar, you’d think, it's not a bad gig and you’d be right.

Flight attendantsThat's me back row 4th. in from the right—the head. Over half of these guys flew for over 35 years. In those days we looked like fighter pilots not as you would visualize a flight attendant these days.

They were fine at the start. I enjoyed the job. At the end of the day, it was not what I wanted.

They were just jobs working for the man, paying peanuts and having no control over my life.

As time goes on little things become big things and you just don’t want to put up with the crap anymore, but you’re trapped.

I quit and started my own business

My friends thought I was crazy, but I needed to take control and pursue my dreams.

If you want to pursue your dreams read my content and see if something resonates in your present life.

Just know there is a path forward.

I will make it clear, it is not a walk in the park.

When I faced challenges, I sought advice from John, who motivated and coached me through the ups and downs of the next 30 years.

Unfortunately, John had a terrible accident before he could join me in celebrating our successes.

Still, I realized he taught me all the secrets to control my destiny and achieve my goals.

Now, it's my turn to give back.

I've made it my mission to help others like you through mentoring, coaching, guiding, and teaching.

By sharing the key ingredients to success in a meaningful and structured way.

I aim to help you understand where you are now in your life and where you can go. Whether it's finding your dream job or starting your own business.

I've mentored and coached numerous individuals in situations similar to yours, each with unique needs but a common issue - Hating their job, feeling lost and uncertain about the next steps.

In every case, I've been able to mentor and guide them to achieving their dreams.

It's been an honor and privilege to witness their growth, whether they stayed for a year or used my service for the whole journey. I get such a buzz helping them succeed.

Understand, that everyone has someone

Every successful person has someone guiding them. Don't wait, get yourself a mentor sooner rather than later.

Let me be that someone for you.
